Morana's Blood - wooden paddle

Some wood survives fire and stays quiet about it. This wood doesn't.

Morana's Blood is larch, salvaged from the same sawmill fire — but finished in light brown, so the grain itself stays visible, honest, almost gentle. Then the wood is cut. Where the tool opens the surface, blood-red epoxy resin rises and runs down the grain like it's still fresh — pooling, dripping, refusing to dry mid-motion. It doesn't decorate the wound. It is the wound.

The grip

Wrapped in red lambskin, bound by hand-forged nails, driven one at a time, no two placed the same way twice. The leather holds the hand steady while the wood below tells a darker story.

The charm

Every paddle comes with a small glass charm — a cat or a bear, chosen at random, hanging quietly from the handle. Soft where the wood is not. A joke against the blood. She looks dangerous. She giggles first.

Three sizes, one bloodline

The Small carries a 10 cm striking surface on a 20 cm handle — total length 30 cm (11.8") — quick, sharp, close to the skin.

The Medium carries a 20 cm striking surface on the same 20 cm handle — total length 40 cm (15.7") — the middle ground between sting and weight.

The Large carries a 40 cm striking surface on the same 20 cm handle — total length 60 cm (23.6") — full reach, full presence, full drama.
